Renesas Electronics Honoured with Supplier of the Year 2011 Award from Continental Automotive Group in ASICs Category
Dusseldorf, Germany, July 17, 2012 — Renesas
Electronics Europe, a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor
solutions, today announced that it has been commended by Continental
Automotive Group with the Supplier of the Year 2011 Award. The award
ceremony took place on July 4th at Continental’s Supplier Day 2012 event
in Berlin. The accolade for Renesas was in the application-specific
integrated circuit (ASIC) category. Continental has over 1000 suppliers
around the world and selected 14 of its most important strategic
partners for this year’s awards, underlining their outstanding service,
product quality and supply chain performance.
The Supplier of the Year 2011 award for ASICs was
presented to Renesas Electronics by Dr. Elmar Degenhart, Chairman of
Continental’s Executive Board. In his speech to the 370 guests at the
Supplier Day 2012, Dr. Degenhart emphasised the vital role that reliable
and flexible suppliers play in Continental’s success. The award
selection process is based on an analysis of each supplier’s services,
grading them against criteria in several categories, including quality,
technology, logistics, costs and purchasing conditions.
